The Laboratory of technology systems and machines in agriculture

Head of the laboratory Abdukarim Suleevich Usmanov
About Laboratory
The laboratory was founded in 1965. The laboratory has developed the following items: a system of machines for the overall mechanization of technological processes in crop farming and animal breeding; normative and methodological materials for planning the mechanization of processes in agroindustrial complex, determining the need of crop production in machinery, fuel consumption for performing mechanized works in crop production, efficient use of agricultural machinery, strengthening farm enterprises in the southern region of the Republic, etc. The materials were widely used by the government and business entities.
The laboratory was supervised by: V.E. Andrianov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor (1965-1988, 1998-2003); V.A. Kachaev, candidate of technical sciences, senior scientist (1988-1993.); M.B. Bekenov, doctor of technical sciences, professor (1998-2003.); V.A. Golikov, doctor of technical sciences, member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2003-2011.); A.S. Usmanov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (from 2012 to the present day).
The laboratory develops the following projects: development of proposals for the development of domestic agricultural machinery; analysis of the agricultural machinery current state in Kazakhstan, taking into account the production of components and spare parts, service and dealer centers; conducting marketing research of internal and external markets; formation of centralized database of the country's agricultural machinery fleet; analysis of the investment activity of agricultural machinery industry; development of proposals for the modernization of existing production facilities for the production of agricultural machinery and mechanization means; organization of joint ventures with leading foreign companies for the production of modern agricultural machinery; listing of machines requiring development and production; development of technologies and machine systems for plant growing in the Southern region of the country; monitoring the process of agricultural machinery exploitation in Kazakhstan's zonal economic conditions with determination of the real productivity, quality of technological processes, fuel consumption and disadvantages; analysis of technical current state of the country's agroindustrial complex, taking into account the specific features of the agricultural branches development in the regions; development of theoretical provisions and methodological approaches to the technical and technological modernization of the agro-industrial complex machine and tractor fleet; development of practical recommendations on the formation of MTF for farms of the Southern region.
Over the years, the laboratory staff published more than 600 academic articles, more than 40 recommendations and 5 monographs. Scientists of the laboratory prepared 3 doctors of sciences, 4 candidates of sciences, 1 PhD doctor and 6 master's students.
